City Wall Retreat | Quiet & close to everything

Great place to stay, clean, tidy, had everything we needed Positive: It was perfect, location was really good & the house was lovely Negative: We didn’t spend enough time there as too busy seeing the sights, would stay 2 nights ideally

Overall a pleasant stay Positive: Excellent location. Communication with host was great. Beds were comfy. Nicely decorated for the most part. Yard and proximity to grass was perfect for my dog. WiFi good, and house had everything you needed. Negative: No parking permit, although parking was available at another property close by and host was accommodating with us leaving our car their before and after check out. Parking outside house would have been preferred.

Positive: It was nice and cozy 😀 Then I like to go out and explore York 😁 York is my favourite city in the UK ☺️ The street was quite but York is beautiful and lively 🤩 Negative: Wind blowing down the log fire 🌬️

A peaceful York gem tucked away but close to the centre Positive: This is a little gem in a tucked away part of York - close to the centre (15 min walk) and the station (8 mins) but so very quiet and peaceful. The evening we arrived we made a cup of tea and walked along one of the most lovely quiet part of the Walls right by the house. Lots of properties in York have cheap furniture and decor - this house, even though it had the usual IKEA furniture, was decorated beautifully, had lovely attention to detail like expensive shampoo and body wash, lovely comfy beds and nice crockery. They also had teabags and salt and pepper etc. we will definitely come back if it’s available! Negative: Everything was lovely. Tiny improvement would be to provide larger towels! Otherwise fabulous.
